Sheriff's Office BadgeThe Lane County Sheriff’s Office is committed to helping those with mental illness get the assistance they need prior to being in the criminal justice system in addition to providing assistance while in jail custody. The Sheriff's Office works with community partners to assess and resolve the medical and mental health needs of each inmate. The jail is equipped with medically trained personnel who specialize in mental illness to address the needs of the inmate population. All individuals in custody with the Lane County Sheriff’s Office requesting or requiring medical services will be treated as patients with respect and dignity, and the highest level of care will be provided to those individuals.
