Strategic Planning

2018-2021 Strategic Plan:
We are in the process of developing a new strategic plan for the County. In December of 2017, we conducted focus groups with the community and with staff to gather input about the strengths and weaknesses of the current strategic plan as well as opportunities and threats out on the horizon.

On January 3, 2018, we kicked off the new year and the new Strategic Planning effort with a kick off work session with the Board of County Commissioners. On January 5, 2018 we launched an employee survey. On January 22, 2018, a Community Survey was launched.

Current Ways to Participate:
1) Link to Community Survey - Let Us Hear From You!

2) You are invited to participate in an Open House on Wednesday, January 24, from 5:30 to 7:00pm in Harris Hall (125 E. 8th Avenue, Eugene).

On January 24, 2018, the Board of Commissioners will have a work session to hear a presentation about the draft framework of the strategic plan. The results of the surveys and work session will guide the draft framework of the strategic plan. On February 27, 2018, the Board of Commissioners will have a presentation of the Draft 2018-2021 Strategic Plan with the hope of a final adopted plan in early March.

2014-2017 Strategic Plan:
On November 4, 2014, the Board of County Commissioner's adopted the 2014-2017 Strategic Plan that laid out a vision for the future focusing on "Priorities" Those Priorities were:
         Safe, Healthy County
         Vibrant Communities
         Infrastructure.
Under each of these priorities were several objectives and under those objectives were action items outlining how we would work towards achieving these priorities. The Board of Commissioners held annual work sessions in December of each year as well as quarterly updates throughout the duration of this plan. Several goals and action items have been accomplished (see below for an up to date list of accomplishments).
