We would like to thank the following organizations for supporting and collaborating with Lane County Parks Division:

David's Chair
David's Chair, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is dedicated to enhancing outdoor experiences by providing mobility chairs for those in need. In November 2022, Lane County voters demonstrated their commitment to community accessibility by passing a 5-year local option levy. This levy earmarks funds for various local projects, with a specific focus on improving accessibility in parks.

Lane County Parks allocates recreational programming grant money to support the ongoing maintenance of David's Chair at Heceta Beach in Florence. This collaboration exemplifies a shared commitment to creating inclusive and accessible outdoor spaces, ensuring that individuals with mobility challenges can enjoy the natural beauty of our parks.

Friends of Buford Park & Mt. Pisgah
A 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to conserve the Mt. Pisgah area’s incredible botanical, wildlife and recreational values. The Friends mobilize funding, scientific expertise and volunteer resources to improve the botanical, fish, wildlife and recreational values throughout the greater Mt. Pisgah area.

Lane County Sheriff's Mounted Posse
The Lane County Mounted Posse was founded in 1941. The war was taking a toll on staffing levels, so the posse was created to help share in and lighten the work load. Today, the posse's focus has shifted to include search and rescue, community service, and acting as ambassadors of public relations for the Sheriff.

McKenzie River Discovery Center
McKenzie River Discovery Center is building a community park, a meeting space with educational venue, and a 10,000 sq ft. educational experience that emotionally and physically immerses visitors in the geology, cultural history, and aquatic life of the McKenzie River Watershed.

Mt. Pisgah Arboretum
The Arboretum is a nonprofit organization that relies on community support from hundreds of volunteers and members to maintain a 209-acre nature facility at the heart of the 2200-acre Howard Buford Recreation Area. We lease these 209 acres from Lane County. The largest portion of our funding comes from individual donations and memberships.

Rivers to Ridges
The Rivers to Ridges is dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents in the upper Willamette Valley by working together to protect and enhance the region’s land and water resources and their ecosystem functions and values; and to provide environmental education and compatible outdoor recreation opportunities as outlined in the Rivers to Ridges Metropolitan Regional Parks and Open Space Study — Vision and Strategies document.
