Why are we building a health clinic in South Lane County?

• The need for healthcare services in South lane County surpasses local provider capacity, and the population is continuing to grow.
• Half of working families in the Cottage Grove area are challenged to make ends meet and health care can be expensive and difficult to access.
• Residents of South Lane County often must take time off work and travel to Eugene/Springfield to receive services, which further increases the cost of healthcare.
• Healthcare professionals are in high demand and local students seek opportunities to pursue careers in healthcare.

Funding is fully secured through grants and other sources for the cost of construction, which is approximately $5.6 million. The South Lane Clinic will be self-sustaining through revenue from Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance.
