Printing via Email Instructions:
1. Select the email address for the kind of print you need:
2. Attach the file(s) you wish to print.
| NOTE: If you put any text into the mail, it will create an extra print job with the subject line of the email, attempting to print a copy of the email. All files on the Print Release Station delete at the end of every day. |
3. You can put multiple files into one email, so long as it is not too much for the email to send.
4. If you need multiple copies, you need to attach multiple copies of the file or make copies after you print.
5. Step outside the library doors into the hallway, then send the email(s).
| NOTE: the library does not have good cell reception, so ensuring you are connected the WiFi Network LC_Public_WiFi and stepping into the hallway helps the email send properly. |
6. You will receive an email confirming that the print job has been processed, it will give you a list and names of the documents it is sending to the Print Release Station.
7. Your print job is now in a queue at the Release Station (Computer #1, the first computer you see in the library) labeled with the title of the attached file and your email address. If you see one that is the subject of the email, it is a copy of the email, not the attached file.
8. Select your print job(s) and click "Print," in the top-left corner.
9. A pop-up will say "You Owe $$." Before clicking anything else, place the amount in the wall-mounted Cash Box. Make sure the screen on the Cash Box matches the value owed or more.
| The cost is 25¢ per page, $2 for color; ONLY CASH IS ACCEPTED. The cash box takes $10, $5 and $1 bills (bill slot on front bottom left), as well as coins (coin slot on top of box, to the right); it will provide coin change. |
10. At the Release Station, click "Pay from Vending Device." The print job will now print to the the printer/copier to the right.
