The Lane County Building Program provides the review of construction plans, the issuances of building and electrical permits, and the inspection of residential and commercial construction to ensure compliance with code for structural integrity and public safety.

Certain projects will require Land Use Planning approvals and Sanitation approvals prior to being eligible for a building permit.

Lane County will be customizing our electronic application services on an ongoing basis to offer a better experience for the user. Permit History of a Property

The Land Management Division’s Property Records Online application (LMD-PRO) is a portal for accessing official county property related documents such as building, sanitation and land use permits as well as other property related records and historic information dating back to the 1970s.

March 26th, 2025:

Changes to the IVR Scheduling System

On March 28th, the State of Oregon is no longer providing the IVR phone scheduling system option.

To schedule inspections, please visit the Lane County Building Inspection Schedule page.

It is recommended that you schedule inspections as early as possible to avoid delays.

May 1st, 2024:

On April 2nd, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the new erosion prevention code for the County MS4 Area. The new requirements will take effect on May 1, 2024. Please see the Erosion Prevention webpage for more information!
