Perkins Peninsula Park is 42 acres and located on the south side of Fern Ridge reservoir. With fewer facilities offers a more tranquil alternative to the other Fern Ridge reservoir parks. There is a boat launch, fishing pier, and a small swimming area. A nature trail is along the park's western perimeter. There is a large field multi-play field with a backstop for baseball and volleyball nets. To the east, adjacent to the park is a wildlife viewing and hunting area managed by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW).

During off season, the park only remains closed to vehicular traffic.
