Good Neighbor Policy

Lane County residents work hard to create beautiful yards, productive farms and forests, and even natural habitats on their private property. In just a few years, a highly invasive plant can spread, putting these investments at risk. While we do not recommend trying to prevent the spread of all weeds, it is important to prevent new species that have aggressive growth habits. Our focus is on making sure our mowing practices are not moving noxious weeds down the road and onto adjacent properties. To accomplish this, we survey our roadsides and develop strategies for controlling these weeds using manual or spot-spray treatment methods.
