Lane County Waste Management and its partners are your resource for thoughtful consumption, recycling, composting and garbage information. Our goal is to reduce waste and increase the material recovery rate to 63 percent by 2025. Lane County residents can help reach these goals by finding resources and staying informed to make the best choices at work and at home.

FEE BREAKDOWN*

  • SBF: System benefit fees (SBF), or the cost to run everything outside of the landfill; including our transfer stations, handling of Household Hazardous Waste, recycling outreach and nuisance abatement .
  • Disposal fees: the cost to run the landfill and the future CleanLane Resource Recovery Facility
  • Other fees: The funds we send to Land Management to help with managing nuisance properties (i.e., properties with illegal dumping).
